Identity and advertising for the ASUNM Southwest Film Center, an organization at the University of New Mexico that shows alternative films to mainstream and current blockbusters.
Inspired by New Mexico’s Sun Zia, a symbol with strong symbolism for the local culture, the icon created is a celebration of the Southwest and film culture. The reel, the film and the four directions.
Every semester a schedule was created to promote the films to be shown. Printing was also coordinated directly with the provider to ensure the colors and quality met the requirements
Based on the original artwork and posters from the movies, new artwork is created to be displayed and used as posters, handbills and flyers. A whole new concept is created week after week to promote the following movie.
Facebook graphics were created every week to match the posters created, updated every week depending on the film shown at the theater during the current dates.
