Coming back!

I’ve barely been using my site for this year, i know, and I also promised I’d be blogging a lot more, I KNOW. Still life’s been crazy lately (in every possible sense). So since I’m coming back to regular writing in my personal journals I was thinking like “maybe you should write or share something on your blog”, so that’s what I’m gonna do. I also came back to playing plenty videogames (thanks PS3, you saved my life). So starting this week I’ll be posting something once in a while and really working on this site (I hate the ugly layout right now, really). Expect some news this week and hopefully, some really good stuff.

Btw, I’m starting to like the new WP 3.0 interface for writing… looks a lot better :P .

The Beatles: Rock Band (Review)

So 09.09.09 came and I got The Beatles: Rock Band. Due to some time (and money) problems I couldn’t pick up my copy until yesterday. So here’s my review on the game.

The Beatles: Rock Band is the first game to be based on probably one of the most popular bands of all times, The Beatles. The game’s presentation by itself is amazing. The artwork’s based on “dreamscape” sequences, so they’re totally colorful. They look great. The game’s interface is easier and more usable than any of the other Rock Band titles.

The Beatles look better than ever. As you go through the story mode, you begin playing their first songs at The Cavern and The Ed Sullivan Show and their last songs on the roof of Abbey Road. The game includes 45 songs and according to Harmonix, there’s more to come, like the full release of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Abbey Road, as for now, “All You Need Is Love” is available exclusively on XBOXLive (it’ll be released later for the PS3 and Wii). One of my favorite songs from the game (so far) is “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band/With A Little Help From My Friends”, as it’s both songs together and the art of it looks just amazing, like in the Yellow Submarine movie (kind of). Important and iconic elements from other songs are also kept, like the costumes from “I Am The Walrus” and the Sgt. Pepper’s uniforms, which gives the game a special touch.

The Beatles: Rock Band is a Beatles experience like no other. Hardcore Beatlemaniacs (like me) will be completely fascinated by the graphic work done and all details from The Beatles’ career, as well as the fully remastered songs (also available now as a remastered collection). Also new Beatles fans will totally get into the game, as most of the Beatles’ favorites and iconic songs are featured. It’s a game that can bring homes together (last night, my mom was singing with my bro and I as we were on the guitars). It also reminds us of The Beatles’ biggest teaching “All You Need Is Love”. It’s a game you MUST play if you’re into the whole musical game thing or if you’re a fan. THE BEATLES ARE ALIVE!
